There's a nexus between Seduction (romance) and Politics (power): The use of language !!
Understand the psychology of your targets, and use sweet-sounding language and rousing rhetoric to possess their minds, before moving on to conquer their bodies (literally or figuratively)!
All human animals are more emotional than reasonable(*my opinion). They want their egos flattered; their nerves soothed and their insecurities assuaged. They like to be beguiled with seductive words and get intoxicated by flowery verbiage. A smart politician knows how to use this enormous power of words to win the hoipolloi to his side... to lift them into the cloud and disarm them of their fathomless suspicion and deep-seated insecurities...and end up becoming a folk hero!
However, blessed is that politician whose words would not take a combustible quality...whose aggressive fixation on power would not drive him into becoming a worst specimen of men. Blessed is that politician who would not breach the boundary of courtesy or lose his sense of proportion by inflaming passion using inelegant phrase or incendiary language.
Elections are around the corner,no politician's out-sized ambition or greedy appetite for power is worth the blood of any Nigerian, prince or peasant!. 2011 is still fresh in my memory! Peace is never achieved by the roll of the dice...it takes conscious and deliberate and concerted efforts of all and sundry. God bless Nigeria.
